Happy
Holidays
from
The
Tri City Brewing Company
Hello
Everyone! Thank you for your interest in The Tri City
Brewing Company. If you do not wish to continue to receive
our newsletter or any other future mailings from us,
please reply with the subject heading “remove from future
mailings” and we will remove you from our distribution
list.
We are
very happy to announce that on Friday, December 8, 2006,
we began production of our first beer, Phoenix Golden
Ale. We brewed a 15 barrel batch of Phoenix, which is
the equivalent of 180 cases of beer. We have collected
several pictures from that eventful brew. Please visit
our web site at first
brew to see these photos. We are grateful to The
Bay City Times for featuring us on the front page of
their Saturday, December 9, 2006 edition. You may read
a copy of the article on our web site at BC
Times article.

Phoenix Golden
Ale is named in honor of the last independent brewery that
operated in the tri-county area, The Phoenix Brewing Company.
Bob Pawlak has written a very nice, short history of The Phoenix
Brewing Company, and we have placed a copy of this article
on our web
site. The recipe for Phoenix Golden Ale is our own recipe,
based on the alt-biers found in Düsseldorf, Germany. Phoenix
will be a very smooth, readily drinkable beer.
We have been
brewing every couple of days and we expect to have all of
our fermentation and lagering tanks full of Phoenix within
the next two to three weeks. Phoenix is a beer that requires
a little longer aging period than most domestic beers, spending
as long as one month in our tanks. This prolonged aging period
is what will provide Phoenix with its rich, smooth flavor.
We’re getting thirsty just talking about it!
Our distributor,
Fabiano Brothers, is currently lining up bars and restaurants
in the tri-county area to be the first providers of Phoenix.
Demand has been very strong. We are even receiving requests
from outside the tri-cities for Phoenix. You can expect to
be drinking your first glass of Phoenix by the middle of January.
We will let all of you know as soon as possible when and where
you will be able to purchase your first glass of Phoenix.
This is a very
exciting time for the Tri Cities! It has been 55 years since
we have had our own local brewery. We plan on being here for
a long time, providing many different beers for local consumption.
Prost!
